Here are the Production releases for the Communication Suite (COMS) Certified App, a part of the Vehicle Services platform.

2026-07-14

Improved intercom for dual-tablet setups: The intercom mute button is now synchronized between both tablets, so muting it on one device also mutes it on the other, removing the need to manage intercom settings on each tablet separately.
Increased responsiveness: The main tab buttons are now easier to press, providing a smoother experience, especially while on the go.
Page selection behaviour: When opening the app, it now defaults to the Favourites page when no call is active, or the Keypad page if you’re on an active phone or radio call.
Easier audio switching: It is now easier to switch between speaker and headphones during a call. Plugging in headphones will automatically route call audio to them.
Bell functionality added: We have added support for a bell button in the COMS favourites page, this allows you to notify the other device in the vehicle with a sound over the device speaker to get their attention.

Performance improvements: Reduced the size of the app by half, resulting in far better overall performance.
Improved call notification stability: Incoming call notifications are now more stable, preventing missed or flickering notifications when moving between pages or while the app is in the background.
Clearer phone number formatting: Phone numbers now appear in a clearer, more readable format.
Additional translations: Added missing translations to improve clarity.

Shows “No caller ID” when caller information is missing: Users will now see “No caller ID” during calls when caller information is unavailable.
COMS icon now appears correctly in notifications: The correct icon displays in notifications instead of a grey square, so users can recognize the app more easily.

Back button is easier to use: The touch area for the back button has been increased and made more consistent, making navigation safer and easier.

2025-05-21

Fixed an issue with PTT when using a Motorola radio: A bug was introduced in the previous version that could lead to the PTT signal being held on after answering an incoming Simplex call when using a Motorola radio, it should now be fixed.

2025-05-20

Added the option to automatically open the app upon accepting a Phone or TETRA call: It is now possible to configure COMS to automatically open upon accepting a Phone call, a TETRA call, or both. The behavior can be customized as usual through the COMS Configuration Tool.
